More Reasons To Be Involved

  • Help make Ireland a better and fairer society.
  • Brilliant charities are involved.
  • Compared to many other countries, Irish people leave fewer charitable bequests. Your involvement in this service can help change this.
  • Asking ‘the question’ can be transformational.

Research from the UK shows that 15.4% of people left a gift in their will to a charity when prompted as follows by their solicitor “Many of our clients like to leave money to charity in their will. Are there causes you are passionate about?” When the solicitor did not prompt only 4.9% left a gift to charity.

“Legal advisers are hugely important in this space. Even the simplest of references to the option of making a charitable bequest can double the chances that a client will do so, raising vital funding for good causes, while helping them feel fulfilled that all those things they care about are covered in their Will.”
